The owners are currently growing for Mountaire Farms in a single 40'x400' poultry house built in 1978. The manure shed could also be converted into another use. The farm is further improved by a +/-3000 square foot farmhouse that has had many upgrades over the years. The home has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. A new roof was installed in 2007 and the upstairs bathroom was added the following year. In 2010, a living room and a deck were added and in 2011 Rinnai hot water heater was installed. A Rinnai hot water system boiler and a 500 gallon (in-ground) propane tank were installed. A water treatment system was installed in 2015 and in 2019 the kitchen was updated with new custom cabinets, flooring and stainless steel appliances, which convey with the home. In 2022, the downstairs A/C unit was upgraded and they had the driveway blacktopped. They replaced the above-ground swimming pool in 2023 and it also conveys with the farm. The deck was refinished with Trex decking materials in 2024. The electric provider for this farm is Delaware Electric Co-Op. The sellers have solar panels at another farm which supplies electricity credits to this property which pays for almost all electric cost for the poultry house and the residence. These credits are transferrable to the new owner per a conversation with Sunrise Solar/Delaware Electric Co-Op. This farm is in close proximity to Route 404 & Route 13 making travel to the beach towns of DE & MD, Annapolis, Dover, or Salisbury an easy drive.
